Sublimation

Gildan points sublimation work at its Performance 100% polyester tees, and this is one of them. The dye turns to gas under the press and bonds into the fiber, so nothing sits on top of the fabric. Stick to white or very light colors: the shirt color shows through the image.

Screen printing

Screen printing 100% polyester means managing dye migration and shrinkage. Gildan recommends a one-step nylon ink or an opaque plastisol with a nylon hardener (mix only an hour's worth, because the hardener ends the pot life), high tension mesh with thin thread, consistent off-contact and a single stroke. Cure under 320°F, then let a sample rest overnight and wash it before committing the run.
