Top picks
The blanks decorators keep reordering, graded for print and priced per piece.
Screen Printing
Still the industry standard for bulk runs (~50+ pieces). Nothing beats its per-unit cost at scale, and the prints come out bright and durable. Setup costs make small orders uneconomical.
Fabric: Any fabric
DTF (Direct-to-Film)
The fastest-rising method. Transfers work on cotton, blends, and poly with no minimums; newer powderless adhesive tech gives cleaner prints and less waste. The go-to for small-batch and one-off production.
Fabric: Cotton, blends & poly
DTG (Direct-to-Garment)
Best for photorealistic, unlimited-color designs on single items or small orders, but it wants 100% cotton and gets cost-prohibitive at volume.
Fabric: 100% cotton
Embroidery
The premium, textured option. Dominant for logos and left-chest placement on hats, polos, and hoodies; less common on tees, but every decorator offers it.
Fabric: Structured fabric
Sublimation
For all-over, edge-to-edge prints, limited to polyester (and light colors).
Fabric: Light polyester
Vinyl (HTV)
Cut-and-press heat transfer vinyl, the personalization workhorse for names, numbers, and one-offs. Durable and opaque on almost any fabric; per-piece weeding labor keeps it to small runs.

Ring-Spun Cotton
Smooth & print-ready
Combed and spun into a smoother, tighter surface, the fabric DTG and fine-detail screen printing want. The retail-fit standard.
Open-End Cotton
The budget workhorse
Carded open-end cotton is rougher to the hand but cheap and durable. The classic budget tee is made of it.
CVC & Blends
Soft meets durable
Cotton/poly blends resist shrink and wrinkles while keeping a cotton feel; watch dye migration when pressing poly-heavy blends hot.
Tri-Blend
The vintage drape
Cotton, poly, and rayon: the softest drape and a heathered, lived-in look. The fashion-fit favorite for retail merch.
100% Polyester
Performance & sublimation
Moisture-wicking performance wear, and the only canvas sublimation accepts. Press low and slow to avoid scorch and migration.
Heavyweight (6 oz+)
Boxy streetwear standard
Weight is the trend axis. A heavyweight tee drapes boxy and holds a print flat, and off the rack it reads premium. The streetwear default.
Unisex Adult
The default run
Straight-cut adult sizing S–3XL+, the default for merch, events, and resale. One size run covers the whole order.
Women's
Fitted cuts
Side-seamed, tapered cuts with shorter bodies and sleeves. Stock it alongside unisex for retail merch; relying on "unisex fits everyone" costs sales.
Youth
School & team sizes
XS–XL youth sizing for school spiritwear, camps, and team orders. Mirror the adult style where possible so the whole roster matches.
Toddler
2T–5/6
Toddler tees and fleece in 2T–5/6. CPSIA tracking labels are required on every printed piece.
Infant
Bodysuits & newborn
Bodysuits and newborn sizes, the personalization bestseller. Rabbit Skins owns this wall.
