Screen printing

Solid colors of this style carry a 100% cotton face, so plastisol, water base and discharge inks all print well. Discharge needs no flash underlay: it bleaches the shirt color out while laying the print color in. Independent Trading suggests tight screens, curing plastisol and discharge around 320°F and water base closer to 300°F.

DTG

Independent Trading rates its cotton-face fabrics as excellent for DTG.

Heathers

Heather colorways run a cotton/poly blend face instead. On those, discharge only bleaches the cotton share, and a poly blocker under the print keeps the polyester dye from migrating into it.

Camo colorways

The camo pattern is itself a water based print, and near 320°F it gasses off and contaminates fresh ink. On camo colorways use a low cure poly blocker with low cure inks on top, stay under 300°F, and let garments cool before stacking.

DTF

For DTF, Independent Trading pairs this style with a blocker or low melt blocker under a wearable or SupaDTF type transfer.
