Richardson is the headwear brand of US decoration, and the 112 trucker is widely cited as the best-selling cap in the country; it's the default blank behind the leather-patch hat boom. If a shop decorates caps at all, the 112 is on the wall.

The styles that matter

The 112 is a structured, mid-profile six-panel trucker: 65/35 poly/cotton twill front panels, 100% polyester mesh back, pre-curved visor with contrast stitching, snapback fitting roughly 7 to 7-3/4, in over 50 colorways and split-color combinations. Demand spawned a whole line: the 115 low-profile for a tailored fit, and the 112FP five-panel, whose one-piece front takes wide logos and patches that would crowd a six-panel's center seam.

Decoration behavior

The buckram-backed structured front is why decorators love it: it hoops cleanly for direct embroidery and holds leather and faux-leather patches flat without bunching or warping. Laser-engraved leather patch on a 112 is its own product category at this point, alongside embroidered patches, sublimated twill, and heat-applied transfers.
