Fleece is the highest-ticket volume category on the wall: 176 styles where the same print earns two to three times a tee's price, sorted into three price tiers. is the spec that separates them, an 50/50 promo blend at the budget floor through and up retail-grade heavyweight at the top, so matching the tier to the program is where the ticket grows.

Best for
Highest-ticket volume category; the same print earns two to three times a tee's price for schools, events, and retail merch lines.
Watch out
Fleece loft needs a higher ink deposit and an on darks; cure low on 50/50 to avoid and scorch.
Anchor styles
Gildan G185, Independent Trading IND4000.

Who makes what

Gildan's Heavy Blend line is the value floor, the default for schools, events, and any job quoted on price. Independent Trading is the decorator's premium fleece house, built around heavier bodies and cleaner construction, while Lane Seven pushes into pigment-dyed and streetwear-weight territory. Bella + Canvas and Next Level cover the lighter retail-fit fleece built for resale.

The styles that matter

The Gildan G185 is the volume hooded sweatshirt of the industry: an 50/50 Heavy Blend that prints reliably, resists pilling, and behaves the same every reorder. The Independent Trading IND4000 is the step up, a heavyweight with a 100% cotton face whose thicker fleece supports large designs and heavy ink coverage.

Don't sleep on crewnecks: the same fleece tiers apply, and crews have ridden the retro wave back into retail merch lines.

Decoration & buying notes

Fleece loft fights the squeegee. Plan on a higher ink deposit and an on darks, and flatten the nap rather than printing over it. On 50/50 and poly-heavy fleece, cure low to avoid and scorch; a 100% cotton face like the IND4000's (in solid colors; its heathers are blended through) sidesteps the problem for the print area.

Hoods, pockets, and zippers constrain placement, so confirm art size against the pocket gap before quoting. Embroidered left-chest plus printed back is the program standard.

Browse Fleece & Hoodies by tier

Every fleece line we stock, by price tier. Each card is one line shown as its main crew or hoodie; the youth, women's, full-zip, and quarter-zip cuts share that body, so picking a line settles the fleece before you pick a cut.

Value 8 lines

The budget floor, where schools and events quote on price. Gildan's 50/50 Heavy Blend leads it in crew (G180) and hoodie (G185), with DryBlend, Hanes EcoSmart, Team 365, and Tultex alongside and Rabbit Skins carrying the toddler sizes. Choose by body, crew, hoodie, or quarter-zip, and stay in 50/50 to hold the print flat and the cost down.

Everyday 12 lines

The mid-grade step up: a heavier, softer hand without retail pricing. Hanes Ultimate Cotton 90/10 and Gildan's Hammer maxweight anchor the weight, with Gildan Softstyle and a deep Independent Trading run of midweight quarter-zips and full-zips for layering programs. Choose by weight and by closure, pullover for print real estate or zip for a uniform layer.

Premium 22 lines

Retail-fit and specialty fleece for resale and streetwear. Bella + Canvas sponge fleece drapes like fashion; Comfort Colors brings garment-dyed heavyweight in vintage pigments, Independent Trading and Next Level the -and-up heavyweight crews, and Lane Seven the pigment-dyed streetwear weight. Choose by weight and by finish.
